EMS appears to be the impetus for many technical professionals to expand and deepen their services, as was evident from the exhibition floor of Solar Solutions 2024. Whereas Solar Solutions was previously the place for innovation, seeking sustainable customer loyalty through a comprehensive portfolio of services is now the focus. It is becoming clear that professionals are really looking for specific added value. We speak with Fred Spronk, Sales Director Netherlands about what he sees changing in the market.
Enduring relationship as starting points for conversation.
Xemex was present at the Fair for three days, along with partner organization CAST4ALL. “The conversations with professionals were diverse but had a clear common denominator, says Spronk. “Focused energy management gives many an opportunity to help strengthen their customer relationships. First and foremost, technical service providers and professionals have a desire to maximize energy efficiency, ensure system reliability and reduce costs. But there’s another striking thing: servicing customers also secures for them that lasting relationship.”
Xemex notes proactive attitude
Xemex recognizes a growing, proactive service attitude within the market. About this, Spronk says: “It fits perfectly with our company; growth, and then not only in terms of business scale, but certainly also with a view to that sustainable relationship development. And that became clear also at the fair. Sustainability means following developments closely, sharing knowledge and connecting customers for the long term with a focused service portfolio. Energy Management Systems are an excellent opportunity for professionals to translate value to the end customer.”
Shift
The attention regarding Energy Management in the Netherlands is shifting. There is a growing awareness around energy efficiency and the need for sustainable energy solutions. EMS systems that optimize the production, storage, distribution and consumption of energy within a household play an important role in that transition. Spronk says, “Then it’s up to parties like Xemex to strengthen our stakeholders in their customer propositions.”
Strengthening each other
Parties within the energy transition need each other, and sectors also depend on each other. Spronk hooks in: “You can clearly see that the energy transition also includes social innovation. We encourage and accelerate this development, we are working hard on modules and programs to show technical professionals exactly how our product works so they can use this knowledge to deepen their market.”
Slowly getting used to the Netherlands
It became clear at the fair that professionals are looking for those long-term relationships. Xemex noticed a growing interest in the Netherlands regarding smart energy management, the partly conscious change from monitoring to managing. People are taking matters into their own hands when it comes to energy, and the technical professional has a lot to offer there now and in the future.
