Xemex has the solution for Curtailing!🌞

Did you know that curtailing solar panels could make the future of our power grid more efficient? Grid operators in the Netherlands are calling for the rapid implementation of curtailing, limiting peak generation from solar panels, to reduce the pressure on our power grid. And good news: at Xemex, we have the solution! Our own KWHIQ kWh meter will have an additional RS485 port as standard from 1 January 2024. This allows you to connect the KWHIQ meter directly to an RS485 sensor, such as a string inverter.

What can you achieve with this RS485 connection?
🔌 You can control the string inverter, allowing you to limit peak generation from solar panels, which is known as ‘curtailing.’
📊 You can extract additional data from the string inverter, such as fault reports and values per solar panel.

This is an important step towards making our power grid efficient and future-proof. Curtailing is essential, and our technology makes it possible.
