Vacancy: Test Developer
Function
In this position, you will be the specialist in developing the automated test system of our EMS (energy management solutions). The test system consists of inverters, charging stations or other loads that can be switched in the desired configurations and dynamically controlled. This is to verify the functionality of the EMS or to develop new features. You are part of a multidisciplinary team within the R&D department, in which you use your knowledge and expertise to contribute to the growth of our organization.
Our products and solutions are mainly in the field of high electronics (hardware and software, including the cloud) in the many facets of energy transition. These include the monitoring and management of solar panels, charging stations, heat pumps and combinations thereof. All this combined in an Energy Management System.
To support our strong growth we are looking to expand our R&D team.

- Developing a testing framework for our EMS.
- Building simulators for solar panels, electric car and home consumption.
- Support the software development team in writing tests.
- Maintain and extend the test system.
What are you bringing?
We are looking for a proactive, open minded team player who combines his/her enthusiasm with analytical rigor, problem solving ability and logical thinking. The ideal candidate demonstrates pro activity and enjoys taking initiative. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive-critical feedback are essential. Stress resistance and the ability to deal with change will make you suited to a dynamic and growing work environment.
Supplemented by the following:
- You enjoyed a technical master's degree or equivalent through experience
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in test automation
- You have excellent knowledge of Python and Python-based test frameworks
- Experience with IOT platforms and technologies is a plus
- You have affinity with hardware and electricity (reading schematics, performing measurements with oscilloscope, etc.)
- Knowledge of embedded development and renewable energy is a plus.
- You are young at heart, open-minded and know how to deal with change. You can deal with a dynamic, changing company. You are stress-resistant and know how to handle unexpected issues.
- You realize that you are at the wheel of your own career and personal development. You can make suggestions about what you need for that.
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English.
- You are willing to travel to and between the Xemex locations in Rosmalen (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium) from time to time.
- Furthermore it is convenient that you live in the neighborhood of Antwerp.
